At The Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy, we believe that dance is about so much more than just learning steps. It’s about building confidence, encouraging creativity, developing friendships and creating fantastic memories that last a lifetime.
In June 2026, we were proud to bring our latest show, Icons of Music, to the beautiful Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond, and what a fantastic experience it was.
The show celebrated a wide range of dance styles, including ballet, tap, contemporary, street, musical theatre and acrobatic gymnastics. For many of our students, performing in a professional theatre environment is a real highlight of their dance journey and a wonderful opportunity to showcase all of their hard work.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to watch our performers. Your support meant so much to our dancers and helped make the experience even more special.
A very special thank you must also go to our wonderful chaperones, helpers and theatre staff. Their support behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs smoothly, is such an important part of making our shows such a success.
